The Sandalwood Lodge Cubby House is a large model cubby with many different play areas. It is a wonderful outdoor play toy for a large or growing family, a home daycare or a preschool. The Sandalwood Lodge is an elevated cubby house with a huge wrap around twin covered deck design. On the model pictured, there is a large sandpit under the entire cubby house and its decks, truly a wonderland for kids to play in.
The cubby house is the same style as our Bear Creek Lodge cubby. It has four large windows that will allow air to flow through the cubby and a centre door with a covered veranda. The slide come off of the porch centred with the door and there are steps that lead up into the cubby house. There is a half door accessory shown with railings fully around the one deck and on the back and side of the second deck as the front of that deck has a climbing wall and climbing net toys – both of which are great for developing large motor skills. The covered decks allow your children to play outside with their playground equipment without the sun’s rays being directly on them. This model has one of my favourite accessories attach on the front railing – a letterbox! Your children will squeal with delight when you deliver some mail in their letter box for them to open and read. If you are thinking ahead, get them some paper and coloured pencils to draw you pictures and send you some mail back. Fun communication tip, huh?
Backyard toy accessories are available for the new Sandalwood Lodge cubby house. You can choose to purchase one of the door kits which have the choices of half door or full door sizes, flower boxes to pretty up the front part of the house, skylights for more natural light in the cubby house, and a letter box. These will all help your children feel right at home in their cubby house. Please note that additional toys are available to purchase that will go with your cubby house. Your children will enjoy their use as well. These toys range from Animal themed spring rockers, swings, ropes and wooden toys like a ship’s steering wheel where your child can be captain of their own fleet.
